Baselines
From OpenProj
Managing Project baselines is a key element in tracking your project's progress. A baseline is a snapshot of your project's schedule at a given time. It is a good idea to always save a baseline of your project before it begins. This is the initial plan, and you can plot your project's progress by comparing it to the plan. Furthermore, the Baseline Cost can be thought of as the project's planned budget.
[edit] Saving a Baseline
You can save a baseline for a selection of tasks or the whole project using the Save Baseline Dialog.
Likewise, you can clear a baseline for a selection of tasks or the whole project using the Clear Baseline Dialog.
Go to the Tools menu and select Tracking to open the Baseline Dialog.
Approx Translation (Please Correct): To Save a Base Line select the Task, and enter the Project Save Baseline Dialog. In the same manner you can Erase a Baseline using the Clear Baseline Dialog.
Select Tracking from the Toolbar to open the Baseline Dialog.
